Popcorn poppers vary in all kind of sizes, shapes and cost. For some people buying a nostalgia popcorn popper is not that difficult, because they can afford it, but what if you are on a budget and want to have a conversational piece at home to look at. Surely there is something about the looks of this type of machine in your home or business. Recently we were visiting in a home where a nostalgia type popcorn popper was placed in a home theater in a house and beyond all the nice furniture and the large 100 inch screen, the popcorn popper stood out among everything else. It was red with large wheels, but it was not a low cost item. It was a Paragon popcorn popper and the cost was close to seven hundred dollars. Although it was supposed to be one of the best machines to buy it was more than what I could afford.

There is a fine line between a high dollar popper and one that is affordable and can work like you want it to. Of course it all depends on your expectations. If you are expecting a product that produces a quality kernel and consistently pops each kernel without losing its popping capability then you may be disappointed in a low cost popper. On the other hand if you have low expectations and just want the attractiveness of a nostalgia popper then it doesn’t matter how the machine pops. There are small versions that look like the larger counterpart but pop very little and the cost is very affordable- around thirty dollars. It is a tabletop popcorn popper,it can pop about three ounces. Advantages of this type of popper is that you can have it as a personal popper, disadvantages will be that you probably cant keep up with more than a few people eating.

Whether you buy an expensive popper that costs close to a thousand dollars or a small affordable thirty dollar popper you can make popcorn to your liking. The good news is that popcorn is cheap.
